Day 01: Bangalore

Late evening arrival Bangalore. Upon arrival assistance, meet & greet with the traditional "namaste" gesture-Two hands joined together in welcome-will greet them and this greeting encapsulates the warmth, hospitality and culture that makes a journey to India so memorable and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 02 : Bangalore - Hassan

Breakfast at hotel. Later proceed for Hassan en-route visit Shravanabelagola. The statue of Gomateshwara or Bahubali, at Shravanabelagola : This is a legendary pilgrimage centre and shrine of the Jains since early times. The 57 feet monolithic statue of Gomateshwara Bahubali is located on the Vindyagiri, standing atop of one of the hills. (Vindyagiri Hill). It is 17 mtrs high and is considered to be the world's largest monolithic stone statue and was erected by Chamundaraya, a General of King Gangaraya. After the visit proceed to Hassan. Upon arrival, Check in at hotel. Afternoon, excursion to Belur & Helebid, two tiny but beautiful temple towns 16 km apart in the southern state of Karnataka. Once at the centre of a great empire ruled by Hoysalas in the 12th century, Belur and Halebid are heritage towns and are home to several exquisite temples which reveal the artistry of Indian sculptors and the mastery of the temple builders of yore. Overnight at hotel. Hassan Situated at a distance of 194 kms from Bangalore, Hassan is tranquil little town in the south India state of Karnataka. This quiet picturesque town is an ideal base to visit Shravanabelagola, Belur and Halebid. Hassan in Karnataka is the oldest town of Hoysala Empire of 11th to 13th century AD in India. Hassan has recently become a tourist destination for its unique style of architecture

Day 03 : Hassan - Mysore

After breakfast drive to Mysore via visit Srirangapatnam. : Located on the banks of river Cauvery, the island town of Srirangapattanam was the capital of Tipu Sultan, the legendary ruler Mysore who put up a valiant fight against British invasion. A number of moated forts, fortified palaces and temples stand as witness of the rich legacy. The majestic Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and Darya Daulat, the garden palace of Tipu Sultan, are other major attraction here. Upon arrival Check in at hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing in Mysore; visit Mysore Palace : Built in Indo-Saracenic style, with domes, turrets, arches, and colonnades, the palace is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world. Chamundi Hills : Perched atop a hill 13km outside Mysore city is the temple of Chamundeshwari, the patron deity of the Wodeyars. The 4.8m tall monolith of Nandi and the gigantic Mahishasura statue are added attractions. The hill lies at an altitude of 3,489 ft and offers spectacular view of the Mysore city. Overnight stay at hotel. Mysore : Mysore, the capital city of the Wodeyars has always enchanted its admirers with its quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues and sacred temples.. Day 04 : Mysore - Wayanad

After breakfast, drive to Wayanad . Upon arrival, installation at Resort Afternoon visit different plantation, like coffee, rubber, pepper, vanilla etc. In the evening, cooking demonstration on SOUTH INDIAN -BRAHMIN CUISINE ( vegetarian) followed by dinner. SOUTH INDIAN - BRAHMIN STYLE CUISINE : One of the most balanced and nutritious type of cooking is the South Indian Brahmin preparations; It is time tested and purely vegetarian.-soft on stomach and uses most lentils and pulses, besides an array of veggies and greens. A typical Brahmin food consists of "Rice" as the main item of the menu to which side dishes are added,consisting of "Sambar", "Rasam" and Poriyal(aka Uppery in kerala brahmin hose old),kootu and mooru(Yoghurt that is homemade -and that finishes the meal(side dishes being pickles of various hues and sometime chutney. Pappad that is bought from shops is also used along, sometime karavadams(a type of pappad-crispy) is also used -depending on the dish and occasion). Dinner & Overnight stay at Resort.

Day 05 : Wayanad

Breakfast at hotel Morning Rural walk to tribes, temple & bamboo artifact making unit. Afternoon, Jeep safari to Muthanga wild life sanctuary-one of the best places in India to see Asiatic elephants, besides, gaur, deers, wild dogs, bear, panther. Dinner & Overnight stay at Resort.

Day 06 : Wayanad - Kozhikode - Cochin by Train

After early breakfast at hotel transfer to Kozhikode (Calicut) railway station , to board the train Parasuram Express to Ernakulam (Cochin) . Departure from Kozhikode at 08span5/Arrival Ernakulam at 13span5.Upon arrival meet, assist and transfer to hotel Old Light House. In the evening attend the Kathakali dance show at Greenix Village Cochin. The literal meaning of Kathakali is story play. The dance dramas depict scenes and events from Hindu mythology, typically from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Kathakali artists wear heavy makeup and magnificent costumes to depict good and evil characters Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07 : Cochin

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for visit Fort Cochin, this is the ideal way to discover a historic town brimming with tales of myriad seafaring visitors who came here to trade and then stayed on to cease their work on this impressionable land, Visit Chinese Net, St. Francis Church (Sunday till 11:00 - not for Public)- India's oldest European built church was constructed in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars who accompanied the expedition led by Pedro Alvarez Cabral, Santa Cruz Basilica. Afternoon: Visit Dutch Palace (closed on Friday) was originally built by the Portuguese in 1555 A.D and handed over to Raja Kerala Varma of Kochi. The palace was renamed as Mattancheri Palace in 1663, Jewish Synagogue (closed on Friday & Saturday). Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Cochin - Backwater

After breakfast at hotel drive to Alleppey to board your Houseboat from Lakes & Lagoon Jetty by 12 Noon. After the introduction with the crews, the cruise starts. After that, anchor and have lunch. After lunch, cruise proceeds to again for various activities stop village market, etc.., Cruise proceeds to anchor for overnight stay. Overnight stay at Houseboat.

Day 09 : Alleppey - Cochin

After breakfast cruise back to Alleppey and reach Lakes & Lagoons Jetty by 8.30 am or 9.30 am . Later drive to Cochin- if time permit you can visit local market for shopping, later on time assistance & transfer to Cochin airport to board flight for your onward journey.
